How Many Mangoes Are in a 5kg vs 10kg Box? (Sizes & Grading)
A 5kg box holds roughly 12–20 mangoes and a 10kg box roughly 24–40 mangoes — the exact count depends on the variety and the fruit size/grade. Larger varieties like Sindhri give fewer, bigger mangoes per kilo; smaller ones like Anwar Ratol give more.
It's the most common question we get before someone orders: "How many mangoes will actually be in the box?" Mangoes are sold by weight, not by count, so the number varies with fruit size. Here is exactly what to expect.

Anwar Ratol is a small, dense mango — you get many more per kilo than a big Sindhri. That's normal and is reflected in the per-kg price. More fruit ≠ more flesh; bigger varieties have a higher flesh-to-stone ratio.
What "grade" means and why it matters
Within a single variety, fruit is graded by size and finish. A premium box is hand-graded so the fruit is uniform — that's what lets us guarantee count ranges and consistent ripening. The grades you'll hear about:
- A-grade / premium: uniform size, unblemished skin, picked at the right maturity. This is what goes in our premium boxes.
- B-grade / commercial: mixed sizes, minor blemishes — common in mandi (wholesale market) crates.
